Weekly Wrap-up

I thought this week was going to be slow. Wrong.

Okay now for something completely different.

I was a little peeved at the charity truck. They called last week asking for donations. I said I have a desk in my garage and would they accept that? It’s been in my garage for a while and I can’t wait for it to be gone so I have more space.

They said yes and asked if I had clothes. Of course I replied and they said they’d take both. I came home yesterday to a desk still sitting in my driveway. Grrr.

Now I have to transport the thing to Goodwill down the street. This was the last chore on my clean up list and I can’t check it off.

Last night was great for TV but I’m more confused than ever watching two episodes of Lost. I’m scratching my head. With the writer’s strike I don’t see us getting many answers.

I did try out the new Lipstick Jungle and I’ve decided to pass on the show. It’s good, but once again it’s all about women attached to cell phones, text messaging, and their work schedules. It’s too real-life for me as I watch TV for entertainment.

And what is it lately that no one can stand in one place, look someone in the eye, and have a conversation anymore? On these TV shows, everyone walks around and multi tasking while carrying on a conversation. There’s no undivided attention. 😦

That’s why even though the writing may be good on Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle is good, I just can’t watch the shows. I’m not into entertainment where the lead characters are cell phones.

  1. I’m confused by LOST too. What the heck is going on? hehe

  2. Very confused with Lost. Writers must have known the strike was coming and did this to us on purpose!!!!

  3. I meant to give “Lipstick Jungle” a whirl the other night and then something diverted by attention and I forgot all about it.

Some of these TV shows are going so long in-between shows because of the writer’s strike that they are running the risk of losing their audience for good! I for one know that at one point I would NEVER miss an episode of “Desperate Housewives.” Now… who cares…? I can’t even remember some of the minor storyline characters and what was going on when the last several shows aired. And the constant re-runs of the same last season shows over and over every week? Drives me bonkers!
